Core manufacturers Airex AG (CH-5643 Sins) and Baltek Corp of the USA, are to jointly market their products worldwide. Airex, an affiliate of Alusuisse Lonza (HQ: PO Box 495, CH-8034 Zürich), is a leading manufacturer of closed cell speciality foams and has a turnover of CHF 60m, CHF 10m of which is for rigid foams for composites. Baltek is the world's largest producer of end grain balsa core materials with a 1995 turnover of USD 45m. The companies claim the agreement will enable customers to choose the right core for their applications. Airex has already benefited from the agreement. North American sales for 1 Q 1996 were equal to those for the whole of 1995.
