Production includes bags with widths between 200 mm and 1,050 mm and lengths from 100 mm to 2,000 mm, according to the supplier. Various rollstock configurations are said to be possible, with straight or round bottoms and with or without perforation, the company adds.
Adapa recently won the PackTheFuture Award for a recyclable polyethylene-based shrink bag with an EVOH barrier that does not require the usual polyamide layers or PVdC barriers.
After a few turbulent months with “massive irregularities in the balance sheets of previous years and gross misconduct by former managers”, Schur Flexibles relaunched itself and has a new majority owner, US investment house Apollo Global Management (New York; www.apollo.com).
