US labelling equipment manufacturer Accraply (Minneapolis, Minnesota; www.accraply.com) is to open a new 14,021m² facility in Irlam / UK in summer 2020. The group – owned by machinery giant Barry Wehmiller (BW, St Louis, Missouri / USA; www.barrywehmiller.com) – said the new factory will bring together Accraply’s “Harland”, “Graham” and “Sleevit” brands as well as its self-adhesive and shrink sleeve labelling activities. The facility will also house the group’s engineering, manufacturing and support functions, acting as a hub for sales and service operations for its activities across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Accraply did not reveal the capacity of the new Irlam plant, nor the level of investment. However, it did announce a new vice president of sales, Justin Stovall. Based in South Carolina in the US, Stovall has been with Accraply for just under five years, working as sales director for BW Flexible Systems (Duncan, South Carolina; www.bwflexiblesystems.com) until his internal move over to Accraply. He previously spent nearly four years as regional sales manager for PolyOne (Avon Lake, Ohio / USA; www.polyone.com).
