Canadian chemicals and plastic resins producer Nova Chemicals (Calgary, Alberta; www.novachemicals.com) recently announced the establishment of Nova Circular Solutions, a new line of business focusing on lower emissions, recycled solutions, and home to the Syndigo brand, the company’s portfolio of recycled polyethylene. The business unit is to be headed by Alan Schrob, the current director of mechanical recycling.
Mechanically recycled resins under the Syndigo brand name include EX-PCR-WR3 rPE, which, the company says, is sourced from PE agricultural film and is ideal for e-commerce mailers, can liners, carry bags, and protective packaging; EX-PCR-NC4, sourced from distribution centre PE stretch film, and is ideal for heavy-duty sacks, stretch wrap, collation shrink, protective packaging, and industrial films; and EX-PCR-HD5, sourced from HDPE milk jugs, and ideal for flexible packaging, heavy-duty sacks and small-part blow moulding, Nova Chemicals adds.
