Trosifol (Troisdorf / Germany; www.trosifol.de), a specialist for polyvinyl butyral (PVB) window glass interlayers, is expanding production at its plant in Holešov / Czech Republic – about 70 km east of Brno. New machines for the “SentryGlas” brand films, to be installed from February 2021 and scheduled to be operational in autumn 2021, will raise the roll width at the site to 330 cm.
The company’s “Trosifol”, “Mowital”, “Butacite” and SentryGlas films are used in glass panes for safety, noise and UV protection, among other things. The Holešov plant has belonged to Kuraray (Tokyo / Japan; www.kuraray.co.jp) since 2013. The Japanese company took over DuPont’s “Glass Laminating Solutions/Vinyls” division in the same year (see Plasteurope.com of 28.11.2013) and assigned it in part to the Trosifol business unit.
