Dow Europe's Javier Constante is new president / Michael Zobel and Tim Stedman elected VPs

PlasticsEurope (Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticseurope.org) has a new president – Javier Constante, commercial VP at Dow's (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com) Packaging and Specialty Plastics EMEA business, has been nominated to be head of the European plastics producers' association. He replaces Daniele Ferrari, CEO at Versalis (Milan / Italy; www.versalis.eni.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 06.06.2017 – who was elected president of the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic, Brussels; www.cefic.org) at the end of October 2018.
Constante has been with Dow since 1989, working in a various businesses in Europe and Latin America. He and has held his current position with the US chemical company since 2011. In 2015, he and Ferrari were elected as PlasticsEurope's vice presidents – see Plasteurope.com of 14.01.2016. He is also a member of the World Plastics Council (WPC; www.worldplasticscouncil.com), and is highly engaged in sustainability topics.
Two new PlasticsEurope vice presidents were also elected. They are Michael Zobel, managing director of Lanxess' (Cologne / Germany; www.lanxess.com) High Performance Materials business unit, and Tim Stedman, senior VP and business president of the Plastics and Feedstocks businesses and Global Supply Chain at Trinseo (Berwyn, Pennsylvania / USA; www.trinseo.com). Ineos' (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) Corporate Affairs and Communications director, Tom Crotty, remains vice president and treasurer of PlasticsEurope.
