With the foundation of FinnLoop (Helsinki / Finland) as a joint venture with Griffin Refineries (Helsinki; www.griffinrefineries.com), the German Reclay Group (Herborn; www.reclay-group.com) has expanded its waste management services to the Finnish market. Griffin has a broad portfolio for the development of circular economy solutions in the areas of plastics recycling, organic waste and waste to fuel projects with foreign offices in London and Dubai.
The local FinnLoop team, which in the future will advise Finnish manufacturers and foreign importers on all aspects of recyclability and extended producer responsibility (EPR), is currently being set up, says Antti Tiilikainen, MD sales, at Reclay.
The German environmental and waste-disposal service provider currently operates offices in Austria, Slovakia, France, Spain and Canada. In Germany, Reclay is licensed as a dual system for consumer packaging, and its market share in the area of light packaging (LVP fraction) is over 14% in the third quarter of 2021. This means that the licensor currently ranks third in this sector after BellandVision and DSD.
