Cosmetic packaging manufacturer Quadpack (Barcelona / Spain; www.quadpack.com) has taken over competitor Louvrette (Kierspe / Germany; www.louvrette.de). Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition strengthens the Spanish company’s position as a provider of cosmetic packaging. It also recently acquired the cosmetics packaging business from Germany’s Inotech – see Plasteurope.com of 24.09.2019. The latest buy also adds production capacities, specifically 40 injection moulding lines at Louvrette’s 8,500 m² manufacturing facilities, where there is also space for “significant future expansion.”
Quadpack’s total sales had strong growth in recent years, especially through acquisitions. From 2015 to 2018, revenues almost doubled to EUR 105m. In 2019, sales are expected to reach around EUR 130m – not least due to its takeover of Louvrette.
