PROFINE
New owner / German holding acquires profile manufacturer from Arcapita Bank
German window profile manufacturer profine (Troisdorf; www.profine-group.de) has a new owner. In the wake of Arcapita Bank BSC (Manama / Bahrain; www.arcapita.com) having announced Chapter 11 creditor protection in March this year, speculation was ripe about a possible sale – see also Plasteurope.com of 21.03.2012, and the Troisdorf-based group now announced that it had been completely acquired by German holding group Hidden Peak Capital (Frankfurt; www.hidden-peak-capital.com). The deal still has to meet the relevant regulatory approval.
Commenting on the purchase, Hidden Peak Capital managing partner Peter Mrosik said the decision to purchase the window profile producer was driven by profine’s excellent market position as well as good prospects for ongoing international growth.
