“PackTheFuture Award 2019” / Application period for European packaging award has started

Germany’s plastic packaging industry association Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen (IK, Bad Homburg; www.kunststoffverpackungen.de) and French industry association for plastic and flexible packaging manufacturers Elipso (Paris; www.elipso.org) are hosting the fifth “PackTheFuture Award” (www.packthefuture.com) for 2019. Innovative and sustainable packaging solutions can be awarded in four categories – “Ecodesign”, “Product Protection”, “Social Benefit” and “Save Food”. The deadline for submissions is 30 December 2019. All members of both organisations are eligible to participate using PackTheFuture’s website.
The award ceremony will take place on 12 May 2020 during the “Interpack” trade fair (www.interpack.com) in Düsseldorf / Germany running from 7 to 13 May 2020. The winners can then take part in the international packaging contest “World Star Award” (WPO, www.worldstar.org).
