PLASTICS RECYCLING FRANCE
Merger of Eco-Emballages and Ecofolio now named Citeo
As planned back in spring 2017, Eco-Emballages (www.ecoemballages.fr), the French association for plastics packaging recycling, and Ecofolio (www.ecofolio.fr), the association for paper recycling (both in Paris / France), merged in September 2017 (see Plasteurope.com of 14.07.2017). The new organisation has been named Citeo (www.citeo.com) – made up of the French word "cité" for city, followed by the letter "O". The "O" is intended as a symbol of both the closed-circle economy and the fact that everyone is working together.

Under the management of Philippe-Loïc Jacob, president of Eco-Emballages, as chairman of the board and Jean Hornain as director general, Citeo intends to provide more extensive support to companies in the recycling sector in future. It additionally intends to modernise waste separation in France and mobilise its citizens.
