Paul Pereira becomes CEO of US biopolymer producer Meredian / Company "on brink of significant expansion"
A month after Meredian (Bainbridge, Georgia / USA; http://meredianinc.com) and DaniMer Scientific (Bainbridge, Georgia / USA; www.danimer.com) merged under wholly-owned subsidiary Meredian Holdings Group (see Plasteurope.com of 30.07.2014), the US biopolymer producer has announced two changes in its executive team.

Paul Pereira, executive chairman of the company’s board of directors, has been appointed CEO, while Isao Noda has been named chief science officer and senior vice president Innovation, in charge of overseeing scientific research operations.

When announcing the appointments, Meredian said “is on the brink of a significant expansion”, adding that the personnel reshuffle was “in anticipation of long-term plans”. The company earlier this year achieved pilot production of its PHA – see Plasteurope.com of 05.05.2014.
