NextChem invested in MyReplast Industries’ mechanical plastics recycling plant in Bedizzole in 2019. According to the company, the facility produces 40,000 t/y of high-purity recycled polymers using the NX Replast technology. MyReplast Industries’ recycling business also owns production and trading units in the United Arab Emirates.
The Bedizzole-based firm also recently received government funding for a “circular economy project to enhance process automation”.
NextChem’s proprietary technology was chosen in 2020 by Gruppo Hera (Bologna, Italy; www.gruppohera.it) subsidiary Aliplast (Ospedaletto d’Istrana, Treviso, Italy; www.aliplastspa.com) for a 30,000 t/y domestic recycling plant in Modena.
