For an undisclosed sum, the ML group (Hamburg / Germany) has taken over distribution and trading company CHG Thermoplast (Berlin / Germany; www.chg-thermoplast.de) including all its employees with effect from 1 October 2019. The group plans to increase the sales team. Jürgen Lucius, the previous owner of CHG, will continue to manage operational activities.
CHG has distributed and traded polymer materials, masterbatches and compounds for over 35 years. “This acquisition is a further part of our growth strategy. CHG complements our existing product and supplier portfolio for standard and engineering plastics,” said Dietmar Meyer, CFO of the ML group, which includes trading company MLPlastics (Hamburg; www.mlplastics.de), a distributor of Sabic’s polyolefins, MLPolymer (Hamburg; www.mlpolymer.de) and distribution and trading company Frupack Plastic (Hamburg; www.frupack.de). ML has been active in the business for over 20 years, supplying its customers with engineering and standard plastics, compounds and masterbatches.
