Speciality chemicals producer Milliken (Spartanburg, South Carolina / USA; www.milliken.com) has plans to build a new manufacturing plant and knowledge centre in Singapore. The facility is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2021.

Several plastic additives will be produced at the new factory, primarily Milliken’s “Hyperform” nucleating agents for polypropylene and polyethylene. It will also produce speciality colourants for applications including home and laundry care, personal care, industrial and institutional cleaners and polyurethane foams. The new facility adds to the US company’s existing applications lab and technical service and sales office in Singapore.
