Doubling size of automotive interiors' plant in Slovakia
Automotive supplier Magna (Aurora, Ontario / Canada; www.magnaint.com) is investing an undisclosed amount in expanding its interiors manufacturing plant in Trnava / Slovakia. The company said the upgrade – which will see it raise the plant’s size from 8,700 m² to more than 15,500 m² by 1 March 2015 – is in response to an increase in orders for its products. When contacted by Plasteurope.com, a company spokesperson declined to comment on the investment sum.
The facility – which was founded in 2006 – produces door panels, instrument panels and armrests for a range of global automotive producers. It has a total workforce of 400.
