Acquisition of extrusion lines from Total Polyfilm / Capabilities for agricultural, silage and industrial uses boosted

Flexible packaging manufacturer Coveris (Vienna / Austria; www.coveris.com) has acquired extrusion lines from the site of the former Total Polyfilm business in Preston / UK for an undisclosed sum. Total Polyfilm went into administration in September 2019.
The assets include 5-layer and 3-layer extrusion lines, which are designed to manufacture high-quality stretch films for agricultural, silage and industrial uses. Coveris will move the lines into its European films business unit manufacturing network.
The Austrian group announced in September 2019 that it is upgrading capacity at its sites in Germany and France – see Plasteurope.com of 06.09.2019. Coveris also acquired the UK’s Amberley Adhesive Labels (Dorset; www.amberley.net) in August – see Plasteurope.com of 23.08.2019.
