Avery Dennison (Pasadena, California / USA; www.averydennison.com) has officially opened its expanded production facility for self-adhesive labels in Rodange / Luxembourg, completing a USD 65m (EUR 59m) project that increases topcoating capabilities, strengthens product quality and helps the packaging products company better address customer demand. The plant’s total space has now grown by more than 12,000 m². It was outfitted with a multi-capability coater, additional slitter capacity, a new packaging line and an automated warehouse.
The US company had said that adding capacity in Rodange would cut its greenhouse gases by 700 t/y, thus contributing to slashing emissions by 26% by 2025 – see Plasteurope.com of 19.09.2016.
