The AMP-Polymix group (Bennwihr-Gare / France; www.ampxgroup.com) is expecting turnover to surpass the EUR 100m mark in 2019. Revenues in 2018 totalled EUR 97.5m, managing director Julie Fath-Leguillier told Plasteurope.com at the “K 2019” trade fair.
The group, which consists of the two distribution companies AMP (www.amp.fr) and Polymix (www.polymix.eu/en), distributes primarily engineering thermoplastics, but its portfolio – supplied to around 1,600 customers – also includes standard thermoplastics, bioplastics and elastomers. In 2018, the sales volume totalled 37,000 t.

The French group has 53 employees and distribution branches in Belgium, France (2), Slovenia, Spain and Tunisia. Additional warehouses are located in France (4) and Spain (2) – with the group’s main geographical focus being on the Western Mediterranean region. AMP-Polymix also recently set up another warehouse in Casablanca / Morocco. “This measure marked our response to a request by a customer in the automotive sector,” said Fath-Leguillier. Its range of products was also extended – Polymix now distributes Sabic’s engineering plastics in France and the entire Sabic portfolio in North Africa.
